The family of Loucas C. Tzanis, M.D., established this memorial award in October 2004 to honor the memory of a doctor whose dedication to highest level of quality in patient care was apparent to all those whose lives he touched.

Each year this fund will grant an award to a family practice or internal medicine resident at Harrisburg Hospital who exhibits the dedication, professionalism, and love of hands-on, personalized patient care that personified Dr. Tzanis. Nominations for the award will be made each year by the hospital nursing staff.
